How we handle your information — in plain English.
Coastline Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a web design and SEO studio based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit coastline-studio.com.au or get in touch. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact / free-preview form, we collect your name, email address, business name and type, and anything you write in the message. We don't ask for sensitive information, and there's no account to create.
Information collected automatically. We don't currently run website analytics. If we add a privacy-friendly tool later, it would collect only anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as pages viewed, approximate region and device type). We never use invasive cross-site tracking.
2. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare your free homepage preview
- To design, build and support your website if you become a client
- To keep the site working well and improve it
We never sell your personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site, and each only processes what's needed:
- Web3Forms — processes our contact / free-preview form submissions and emails them to us
- Our website host — serves the site and keeps it secure
Overseas disclosure. Some of these providers operate outside Australia — in particular, our form processor Web3Forms is based in the United States — so the information you send through the form may be stored or processed overseas.
We don't share your details with anyone for marketing.
4. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, to deliver and support your project. After that we delete or de-identify it.
5. Cookies & analytics
The site uses minimal cookies. We don't currently run website analytics; if we add it, we'll choose a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool and update this policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email contact@coastline-studio.com.au. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the latest version.
